Michael M. Probus, Jr.
Managing Member

For more than twenty-seven years, Mr. Probus has worked on a wide variety of legal matters, including general contract disputes, business formations, business transactions, commercial and residential construction disputes, mechanic's and materialmen's liens, and real estate and landlord-tenant disputes.

Mr. Probus is licensed to practice before all state courts within Texas as well as in the federal courts in the Northern, Western, and Southern Districts of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  Mr. Probus is certified in compliance with the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures Act, Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Section 154.052(a).  Mr. Probus has been listed in Who's Who in American Law since 1996.

Mr. Probus received his law degree with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1988.  He went on to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James DeAnda, Chief Judge for the United States District Court, Southern District of Texas in Houston.  After his clerkship, he returned to Austin to the private practice of law.  In 1997, Mr. Probus formed his own law firm.

Kyle T. Gray



Mr. Gray’s practice is primarily focused in the areas of business and real property transactions and litigation, including business formation and contracts, commercial landlord-tenant agreements and disputes, general contract negotiations, creditor-debtor agreements and disputes, eminent domain proceedings, and appellate litigation.  He also assists certain individuals and families with their estate planning needs. Mr. Gray enjoys working closely with his clients to obtain creative and realistic solutions on behalf of them.


While in law school, Mr. Gray clerked as an intern for the Honorable Charles Shaw, United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri.  Mr. Gray subsequently received his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2003 and thereafter practiced mostly in Chicago, Illinois, until he returned home to Texas in 2010.  Mr. Gray is licensed to practice before all state courts within Texas, as well as in the United States District Courts in the Northern District of Texas and the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois.

May Yia Yang


Ms. Yang joined Probus Law Firm, PLLC in November 2014 bringing with her over 12 years of experience in Family Law, Probate, Estate Planning, and Guardianship matters.  She strives to provide quality legal representation to her clients by building an attorney-client relationship based on compassion, trust, and the individual’s needs/goals.  She believes that she can only be as effective as her client allows her to be, so she has an open-door policy for client communication at all times to facilitate honest and informed communications.

Ms. Yang received her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden in 2003 where she received the Pro Bono Excellence Award and was an associate editor/member of Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion.  She went on to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Alan J. Pogarsky for the Ocean County Superior Court of the State of New Jersey.  She subsequently moved to Texas and went on to private practice with a law firm in Austin, Texas prior to joining Probus Law Firm, PLLC. 

Ms. Yang is first generation Hmong in the United States and Texas.  She speaks fluent Hmong and is dedicated to giving back to the community by serving as court-appointed attorney ad litem in probate/guardianship cases.  She also provides legal representation in pro bono cases through Volunteer Legal Services as well as adoption cases for military veterans in Harris County.  She currently serves as co-vice chair of Legal Services to the Poor in Civil Matters Committee of the State Bar of Texas.  Additionally, she has been serving in the volunteer program with Family Eldercare, Inc. since 2008.
